All the dials are carefully cleaned. Any missing and damaged background areas are expertly colour matched to blend perfectly with the surrounding areas. Faded numerals and makers names and map work are refreshed. Painted scenes on corners, arches and rolling moon disks are painstakingly cleaned and refreshed along with any gesso and gilding where we use pure gold leaf. Finished dials are then given a sealing coat of clear lacquer to protect them.

We are also able to clean and restore brass clock dials, including polishing and re-silvering chapter rings and other parts.
